RENO GROSSI CELEBRATES 10 YEARS AT AGD!
APRIL 2025 markED 10 years since designer Reno Grossi joined AGD!
a SEREDIPITIOUS MEETING leads to lasting impact
When asked what first drew him to AGD a decade ago, Reno recalls the charm of founder Angeline herself.
"I was initially drawn to Angeline and her sense of humor, warm demeanor, and optimistic attitude. Even though we were just starting out—literally working out of a closet in the Trade Center—we both had a sense that anything was possible for the company."
That spark of possibility has since evolved into a flourishing career that has helped shape AGD into the design force it is today.
A Journey Through Design
Starting as a design assistant, Reno Grossi has climbed the ranks to designer, senior designer, creative director, and now proudly serves as Principal Designer.
“I’ve worn so many hats over the years and am really happy with being a principal because it allows me to be involved in several projects at once.”
Reno’s multifaceted approach to design can be seen in his ability to realize spaces from a masculine reading lounge to a Palm Beach-inspired girl’s room.
Lessons from a Decade in Design
Over the past ten years, one theme has stood out for Reno: relationships.
“This industry is built on relationships with clients. Your professionalism, your ability to connect, and making sure clients are happy and enjoying the process—that’s what matters most.”
It’s a philosophy that has shaped the way AGD works, constantly learning, evolving, and refining processes to deliver not just beautiful spaces but meaningful experiences.
Reno’s design eye is drawn to rich colors. Below are a few of his favorite hues:
A Project Close to the Heart
While it’s hard to choose just one favorite, Reno highlights the Heritage Ranch project as a standout.
“It was one of the most custom new-build and furnishings projects we've taken on. It really allowed us to get creative and bring our vision to life.”
The result? A fully tailored space that speaks to innovation, collaboration, and unfiltered creativity.
Finding His Own Design Voice
Over the years, Reno has cultivated a personal design philosophy that prioritizes authenticity, collaboration, and comfort.
“I’m more interested in creating unique spaces in collaboration with the client and not being too swayed by trends. I always want the spaces we design to feel warm and inviting—never too precious or austere.”
Why AGD Feels Like Home
What makes AGD special? For Reno, it's all about the team.
“We have such amazing synergy, and we laugh a lot while also being very detail-oriented. It’s rare to find a group that’s so creative, hardworking, and fun—it makes work a true joy!”
This culture of support, creativity, and openness has shaped his professional growth and enabled him to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Milestones and Mentors
From project completions to being published again (woohoo!), there have been many moments to celebrate. But it’s not just about accolades—it’s also about the people who helped along the way.
“My mom was a big mentor. She introduced me to interior design during college and was a huge part of my early education. I owe so much to her.”
Reno shares a few of his favorite moments from this past year:
Looking Back, Moving Forward
If he could go back to day one he would….
“Tell myself to put less weight on what other designers are doing. Focus on developing your own unique voice. And worry less—it all works out in the end!”
Thank you, Reno for 10 inspiring years of talent, heart, and design magic. Here's to many more!
